Scotland Report

Getting here was a challenge. The rIght engine failed shortly after take off from Boston. We diverted to Portland for a 14 hour wait while Delta decided what to do. We departed Portland Sunday afternoon at 2:30pm. Arrived Edinburgh at 1:30 am Monday. We were supposed to arrive Sunday at 9:00 am. We took a taxi to our hotel arriving about 2:30 am. Breakfast was from 7:00-10:00 am

Toured St Columba’s Church, amazing evidence of God’s grace in downtown church
Tattoo performance 9:00pm spectacular show & fireworks
Tuesday
Toured the City by bus, two decks, upper mostly open
Toured Royal Yacht Britannia, permanently moored in Leith harbor on the Firth of Forth.
Toured Holyroodhouse Castle, monarch’s official seat in Scotland.
Wednesday
Toured City by local bus
Toured University of Edinburgh
Had lunch at Kurt & Janie’s recommended “City Restaurant” Fish & Chips with mushy peas, ask Kurt
Changed hotels.
