“A new command I five you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my Disciples, if you love one another.”

John 13:34-35 ESV

Love God

Jesus's first command to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind is a foundational principle of Christianity. This command emphasizes the importance of putting God first in our lives and seeking a deep, personal relationship with Him. It sets the tone for the rest of Jesus's teachings, highlighting the central role of love and devotion to God in the life of a believer.

Love Others

Jesus's second commandment to "love your neighbor as yourself" is a call to treat others with the same care, respect, and compassion that we would want for ourselves. It is a reminder to prioritize kindness and empathy in our interactions with others, and to strive for a world where everyone is valued and supported.

As We Go, Make Disciples

Christian discipleship is the process of learning from Jesus and following his teachings. It involves a commitment to growing in faith, serving others, and sharing the message of the Gospel. Discipleship is a lifelong journey of spiritual growth and transformation, as Christians seek to become more like Christ and live out his love in the world.

Our Statement of Belief

The mission of the National Association of Evangelicals (http://www.nae.net/) is to honor God by connecting and representing evangelical Christians. As evangelical Christians, Emmanuel Bethel Church supports and endorses the NAE Statement of Faith.

We believe.....

  • the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
  • that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
  • that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
  • in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
  • in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
  • in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
